Anthem Reading Session and Conducting Workshop
Tuesday, Nov 13, 7:30PM
Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More
Anthem Reading Session: It is easy to find music for Easter, Lent, Advent, and Christmas, but for some special occasions, finding the right piece can be tricky. Bring two anthems that you would use for a non-major holiday, such as Mothers' and Fathers' Day, Thanksgiving, music for the dedication of a Church space or organ, or whatever you chose. We will read the anthems and share some ideas. Please bring at least one guest singer with you!
Conducting Workshop: Many of us are organist who also train and conduct choirs. Guild member, Ryan Kasten, who holds master's degrees in both organ and choral conducting, will present a brief workshop before the reading sessions on conducting from the console.
